GMO interiors is now Oakmoor

Why have we rebranded?

I am very pleased to announce that from Thursday 14th November 2024, GMO Interiors becomes Oakmoor Interiors.

We’re fortunate to be in a position to rebrand and future-proof our thriving home interiors company. As our business has grown, we felt the need for a brand that truly reflects who we are today and where we’re headed.

This journey has taken shape in several ways: finding a name that aligns with our vision, creating a look and feel to support it, securing new suppliers, building the right team, and expanding into a new location. Our rebrand is about more than just a new logo or colours—it’s a way to ensure that every part of our business, from our team to our offerings, is set up to grow with our clients.

The focus of our company will continue to be offering excellent value for money to every client, no matter what their budget is.

Name

Every growing business eventually reaches a point where it’s time to look back and consider if what you’ve built has outgrown where you started.

After bringing the company together as a whole and reviewing a huge number of names, we finally landed on Oakmoor. Finding something we all agreed on was one thing but it’s also a nod to my West Country roots and the moorlands that I have fond memories of. We loved the contrast in the name: the strength of ‘Oak’ paired with the softer tone of ‘Moor.’

Branding

With a new name, it only made sense to update our branding to reflect the fresh look and feel we envisioned. This transformation included a new logo, emblem, a redesigned website, and a refined colour palette.

For our logo, we chose a classic, flowing typeface that feels modern and timeless in context. Our colour palette centres on warm, neutral tones to evoke a sense of calm and classic elegance.

Products

The most exciting part of our rebrand is the launch of our own range of traditional kitchens under the Oakmoor name—something we’ve been planning and perfecting over the past year. It feels like perfect timing to unveil our kitchen brand alongside our rebrand.

This new range will primarily feature traditional and shaker-style kitchens, blending quality craftsmanship with great value. We’ll also offer a British-made slab door alternative to our premium German kitchens, giving our clients even more options.

Finally, we’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with SieMatic German Kitchens, a leader in the premium German kitchen market. We believe SieMatic’s commitment to quality and value aligns perfectly with ours. SieMatic stands out for its focus on durability and timeless style, offering kitchens that truly excel in both longevity and design.

Personnel

When moving in a new direction, having the right talent onboard is essential—people who share your vision and work in harmony. I am very lucky to have a fantastic team who have contributed to the success of the business and some recent additions who share the same ethos and are eager to deliver fantastic customer service across the company.

Location

Our rebrand also coincides with the exciting announcement of a new showroom in Oakham at Rutland Garden Village—a location that may have even inspired our name choice a little! We’re working tirelessly to fit out this showroom with our new Oakmoor kitchens and hope to announce an opening date soon.
